BAFL 1: Review

By Daniel Ferdinand

BAFL 1

Cambridgeshire Cats 6 - 22 London Cobras

The London Cobras made it 3 wins out of 3 over the Cambridgeshire Cats in 2009 with a convincing 22 - 6 victory.

The Cobras' have a strong strong squad, full of talent and they over came complacency to record the semi final victory.

The Cats finish a successful season on a low but they can rest and look to add to their squad for next season.

The undefeated Cobras will be looking forward to returning to Doncaster and the Britbowl, but this time they are playing a division higher.

East Kilbride Pirates 25 - 0 Tamworth Phoenix

The Tamworth Phoenix had a nightmare at home as the Pirates swooped in a ran back to Scotland with the victory.

The Pirates are the only team this weekend to win away from home and they would have enjoyed their trip back north.

I'm sure the Tamworth team would have been disappointed by the result but they have played well all season and once the game is out of their system they can look back and be happy with their work.

Peterborough Saxons 25 - 0 Norwich Devils

The Norwich Devils finished a disappointing season without a victory.

The Saxons were in no mood to give out any charity and closed the season with a shut out over the Devils.

The Devils head coach Nick Rockell also stepped down after the game after three seasons in the position.
